ULTRAKILL is my favorite game of all time.

It's a fast-paced retro movement shooter starring V1, a robot which has to explore all layers of Hell after humanity is long extinct. A bunch of wacky shit happens and it's really fun.

For me that's the key aspect of ULTRAKILL: just pure fun. Its gameplay has been perfected and polished so much during its 5 years of development to a point where it really makes you wonder how will it look like when finished. It's still in early acess, and it's already one of the most impressive modern shooters out there.

The game was created by finnish developer and musician Arsi "Hakita" Patala and published by New Blood (which also published other games that I adore like DUSK, Amid Evil and Super Galaxy Squadron). It has been in early acess since 2020 and received lots of attention for its great godlike gory gameplay, killer soundtrack and memorable characters and levels.

GUNS FROM ULTRAKILL THAT I LIKE

☆ The Marksman is the most iconic gun from the game, it's like the BFG of ULTRAKILL. Its gimmick is that, when you hit the secondary fire button, V1 throws a coin into the air. Now if you aim right and shoot the coin while it's still in the air, it will ricochet towards the closest enemy and hit it in its weak point, causing massive damage. It's as awesome as it sounds. You can pull up a lot of flashy tricks with this thing, some of the best ones are FISTFUL OF DOLLAR (punching the coins in the air) and CHARGEBACK (hitting enemies that are charging attacks wit the coin to make em fucking explode).

☆ The Core Eject Shotgun and The Pump Charge Shotgun are good as well, and that's because of one single mechanic in both: If you time it right, you can PUNCH YOUR SHOTGUN'S BULLETS WHILE FIRING THEM WHICH MAKES THEM EXPLOSIVE.
For real, this game is nuts. I love these guns.

☆ I like The Sharpshooter because it reminds me of Revolver Ocelot from Metal Gear Solid. It's fuckin cool.
